Patient Rights & Responsibilities

Do your patients know their rights? The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has updated these rights in recent years.

Some important rights include:

Education regarding treatment/modality options
Education about procedures for filing a complaint
The right to privacy and confidentiality
Right to know the availability of services

There are many more important rights for patients and staff to review, so be sure to post the Network 13 Rights and Responsibilities poster in your facility. Call or e-mail the Network (hbinkley@nw13.esrd.net) for a replacement if you have misplaced your large facility Rights & Responsibilities poster.
